Tips to Root HTC Sensation Android 2 3 Gingerbread Smartphone

We know that HTC has released the newest smartphone HTC Sensation, which comes in this marketplace today. Right since its announcement, release and subsequent purchases, users have been very needing to root the unit; one due to advantages of rooting, which have been over and over again iterated, another because of the rage against HTC for the anti-rooting campaign. If HTC is brilliant enough to include something called HTC Sync that can forbid rooting, at any expense, our developers are much more developed they uninstall the HTC Sync software and proceed with your rooting. Not strange HTC is mad!

We all know that HTC Sensation relies on a Gingerbread version of Android, or v2.3. The only glitch in rooting this tool and the main difference between rooting the Sensation and other Gingerbread phones is the HTC Sync needs to be temporarily removed the instructions for uninstalling the HTC Sync is found on the internet and can be done simply using any application installer software, that is included by default in all phones or by downloading any software manager software and installing its apk file.

  1. First download the Gingerbreak.apk file.
  2. Extract the zip file and save on your computers desktop. This is a precursor for transferring it to your phone.
  3. Connect the phone to your computer.
  4. Mount SD card as flash drive as you generally do for USB cable file transfers.
  5. Copy the downloaded Gingerbread apk file to SD card root.
  6. You should have any File Manager (e.g., Astro File Manager) on your phone. If not, download from Market. These are generally free apps.
  7. Disconnect your phone from computer and launch File Manager. You will find in the menu of the phone.
  8. Follow the onscreen instructions on File Manager to install APK to your phone from SD card root. You may also use the default application installer software to do this.
  9. After installation completes, open the APK.
  10. Press root button. Simple, isn’t it?
  11. The APK exploit will run for some time. Usually it runs for around 10 minutes. Your phone will be rebooted. In case it takes more than ten minutes for auto reboot, please reboot it yourself. Not to panic, this happens a lot of times.
  12. Your device is now rooted. Congrats!
  13. Make sure that SuperUser app is installed and is running. This is very important for you to enjoy the benefits of rooting.

In order to test if you are phone has been successfully rooted, just click a screenshot of your phone. That should show that the phone have been rooted.

Panasonic India has launched its first smartphone P51 in India


Panasonic today re-entered the smartphone market with the global launch of its new P51 smartphone in India. It has been priced at Rs 26,990 in the Indian market and will compete against the likes of Samsung Galaxy S III, HTC One X and LG Optimus 4X HD, among others.  The all-new Panasonic P51 features an IPS display with 1280x720p resolution and 295ppi pixel density; the touchscreen boasts of Asahi DragonTrail scratchproof and damage-proof glass for added durability. This device runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean), the latest iteration of Googles free mobile operating system. It has a 1.2GHz quad-core CPU under the hood and packs 1GB RAM and 4GB onboard storage, along with microSD card support up to 32GB. The connectivity suite of this dual-sim phone comprises features like 2G, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and microUSB. An 8MP autofocus camera with LED flash is placed on the back of the phone, while a 1.3MP HD unit is used in the front. Powered by a 2,500mAh battery, Panasonic P51 comes with a free magnetic flip cover and supports input via stylus. This phone measures 8.5mm along the waistline, weighs 135gram and will be available in white and black colours.
  The company said it has inked a partnership deal with Times Internet Limited, the online division of The Times Of India Group, and the new handset will come preloaded with TOI and ET apps.

BlackBerry to launch new BB10 smartphone


BlackBerrys latest smartphones could see it become a force in mobile phones again after several years in decline, experts have said.
The launch of the BlackBerry 10 (BB10) handsets and software this Wednesday could lead to the firms “resurrection”, one said, after it saw its popularity wane in favour of phones like the Apple iPhone and Samsung Galaxy S3.
Another who has held and used the device ahead of the launch said it had “high specifications” that allowed users to do “good stuff in a couple of clicks”, which would appeal to both businesses and consumers.
But another questioned whether the launch, delayed from last year, meant the brands owner, Canadian firm Research In Motion (RIM), had left it too late.
Malik Kamal-Saadi, principal analyst with Informa, said the new operating system (OS) on the two expected handsets was a “trump card” that could see it win back customers lost through the poor performance of the previous BlackBerry 7 phones.
He said: “The experience is very attractive for business users and consumers.
“BB10 has what is needed to seduce back in both developed markets (Europe and North America).
“I havent seen anything like it in terms of the experience.”
Mr Kamal-Saadi held and used the devices at RIMs European headquarters in Slough.
He said the system would be appealing to both business and social high-end users in Europe and North America, where BlackBerry lost the most ground over the past two or three years.
But he added that the software was akin to the first generation of iPhones in being so radically different it may take people a little while to get used to it.
Investors will “leap into the sky” if BB10 sells more than four million units in the first three months on sale, he said, but sales of between one and two million would be okay. Anything less than one million would be a “big mess”.
He pointed out that the first iPhone, which went on to become a phenomenon, did not exceed four million sales in the first quarter year of sales and the less popular Windows phone sold between one-and-a-half and two million.
BlackBerrys handsets revolutionised white-collar working a decade ago and are widely credited with kick-starting the smartphone boom.
BlackBerry plans to launch two handsets, the Z10 and X10 on Wednesday. Pictures leaked online purporting to be the Z10 show a touchscreen phone along similar lines to the iPhone. The X10 is believed to be more of a classic BlackBerry, with a Qwerty keyboard.
Ernest Doku, technology expert with uSwitch.com, said: “For RIM and BlackBerry, it is very much the resurrection of the BlackBerry brand.
“Consumers have been waiting a long time to see what they were coming up with. They have fallen to the wayside but a lot of signs are pointing to this being their return to relevance in the smartphone market.”
He said that people would also be waiting for a likely version with a Qwerty keyboard.
“There is a massive USP (unique selling proposition) in the return of the physical keyboard,” he added.
“Nine out of 10 consumers we asked related that with the BlackBerry.
“BlackBerry has been lucky in terms of its (fanbase) loyalty which may not have been the case for people like Nokia.
“It could well be a success story for them.”
The battle for domination of the mobile and tablet market has become increasingly heated in the past 18 months, with Apples competitors taking it on with a series of new products.
Nokia and Microsoft joined forces to launch two new phones which run on the Windows operating system.
Apple was dealt a new blow to morale as figures for the Christmas period showed its rocket-like growth had continued to stall, causing a fall in its share price.
But some question whether the latest BlackBerry launch is too little too late.
Russell Feldman, associate director for technology and telecoms consulting at YouGov, said: “We know that right now RIM is in a poor situation, and so there is definitely a lot of pressure for the BlackBerry 10 to deliver.
“According to SMIX UK, our consumer smartphone tracker, two-thirds of RIMs current customers do not expect to get a BlackBerry again, with most opting to switch to an iPhone.
“BlackBerry 10 has the opportunity to at least stop the rot... providing it is able to market itself effectively and curry favour with retailers and operators.
“It also needs to be a decent system to at least get critics on its side, and it then could have the potential to take share away from others. However, RIM may have left it too late.”

When did you realize you were a smartphone addict

DSC_0061According to a recent IDC survey, 91% of Canadian smartphone owners keep their devices in reach 100% of the time. Think about that statistic for a moment. There are roughly 21 million smartphones in use Canada, with a 59% adoption rate across the carriers. Nineteen million Canadians are never more than a few steps from their handset(s).
We’ve all been there: that moment, perhaps months or years after the purchase of your first smartphone, when you realize you’re completely, hopelessly addicted to that device in your pocket or your purse. For most people, it is a gradual, insidious change of behaviour; half an hour a day turns into an hour that becomes several. Where once you may have been able to ignore the flashing red light, you are now summoned to it like a salivating dog after kibble.
When was that first moment for you? I think, for me, it was when I discovered the custom ROM scene on Android. The day after I brought home a Motorola Milestone, hearing about all the things you could do with a rooted device — like jailbreaking on steroids. Unlike the Verizon Motorola Droid, which shipped with an unlocked bootloader, the Milestone was very much a baby of the carriers, completely locked down. I spent hours on XDA-Developers parsing instructions, reading tips and tricks, attempting to root that sucker. I slept little that night, and there have been others like it since, the attraction of breaking down a device’s OEM-imposed barriers too tantalizing to resist.
Cellular phones have changed our lives; we can’t remember a time when it wasn’t possible to make a call from anywhere, and many take for granted that, instead of reading a book on the way to work, there is always a few minutes for Subway Surfer or Words With Friends. And when you’re sitting in a nice restaurant and your phone vibrates in your pocket, don’t tell me there hasn’t been a moment of panic as you wondered whether it was important enough to risk being considered rude.
Smartphone addiction shouldn’t be dismissed, either, despite the levity of the preceding paragraphs. It can cause real, substantive harm to a person’s life. But that’s not for this column; we are all slaves to our phones, but hopefully, at the end of the day, we are still in control.

Samsung launched Galaxy Mega Smartphone

Samsung yesterday launched its Galaxy Mega smartphone in India. One has a 5.8-inch screen and another has a 6.3-inch screen (diagonally). The first costs Rs 25,100, while the second will cost Rs 31,490.

Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 runs Android Jelly Bean 4.2. The smartphone comes with an 8 megapixel rear camera and a 1.9 megapixel front camera. The device supports NFC, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and 3G networks. It has 8GB Internal Memory, with a micro SD slot which has 64GB as maximum limit. The RAM is 1.5 GB and in
terms of processing speed it has a 1.7 Ghz dual-core processor.

The Mega 5.8 has pretty much the same specifications except that it has a 1.4Ghz dual-core processor and yes, a 5.8-inch screen. The 6.3-inch version smartphone camera is loaded with features which are similar to the ones in Galaxy S4. These include Sound and Shot, Dual-Photos, Story Album, etc.

• ‘Samsung WatchON’ which converts the smartphone into a television remote control.

• ‘Samsung Link’ which allows users to stream photos, videos, notes, or music to their television, tablet or computer.
